If you haven’t read the About section on my website, chances are good that you’re unfamiliar with who I am or what this blog is all about.
I started cocoa content as a way to synthesize my interests in chocolate into one tidy website. The website contains articles primarily, plus interviews and reviews that can sometimes be my way of venting. The content of this blog is supposed to be less formal, more straightforward, and oriented around reviews about specific bars, events, or whatever else that tickles my fancy. I’ll update the blog much more regularly than the website
Now onto little ole’ me. I write reviews for Seventypercent.com and articles for The Nibble. I graduated from New Mexico State University in December, 2007 with an M.A. in anthropology, with special interest in food and agriculture. I was originally born in Richmond, Virginia, migrated to New Mexico for graduate school, meandered to Oregon, then relocated to my place of origin. I like to learn new things, watch movies, and get lost in random thoughts.
This is what I currently look like:
This picture was taken near Los Alamos, NM while driving to Bandelier National Monument. I probably don’t look like a chocolate fancier, and I certainly don’t look old enough to be my age, but you’ll have to take my word.
Now that you know a little more about me, I better stop typing before I mention something I’ll regret. I hope you enjoy what you find here, and if you want to shoot me an E-mail about anything in the world, please do. In the meantime, I’ll try to find my way out of another random thought (though I’ve been known to get lost).

Hey Hans,
So I tried one of the Zotter chocolate bars you recommended, the Banana Curry, to be exact, and what an interesting and pleasant experience it turned out to be! It was definitely tempting to start a “challenge” of eating all of Zotter’s creations, but we’ll see how I survive the Ritter Sport thing. First things first.
Thanks again for your recommendations, and I look forward to more from you!
Best,
Shelley

Hey Shelley, not a problem! I’m sure some of Zotter’s flavors may be just a bit too wild, but I’ve tried a fair share of them and liked them all except the alcohol ones. Just way too strong on the booze if you ask me. Have fun with the Ritter Sport bars. At your pace, you’ll be through the entire range in one more month!
